An addition to my Virtual Boy Family. 3 Virtual boy games from a " JAPINOY"

so there is, sir Roel.

Just recently,(about a week or so) i got a 3 game lot for my Nintendo Virtual Boy. 3 Japanese games which are in general, being a virtual boy game, pretty much hard to find.

In search for this, it got me to a person who spent some time in japan, of course , like a typical Pinoy (Filipino) not because he wanted to, but for the fortune. Money. Future of family.

I really admire people who can hack the homesickness. Being away from family and friends with my own motherland is just not my strength, specially for the reason of gaining some wealth. I think that is the hardest part of working abroad, harder than the job itself.

Philippines most exported product is MANPOWER so, most likely we have allot of people working abroad.

GAME 1 : VIRTUAL FISHING

The man spent most of his youth working in Japan as he told me, Its not really a new story for me for i have met allot of Pinoys with the same story. Just different because i met him because of "retro gaming" reason.

GAME 2 : RED ALARM

That's just how it goes for most of us here in the Philippines. We love our families that much that we do sacrifices. Japan is a neighbor country with good opportunity as long as you are hardworking. So many of us end up being there.

GAME 3 : GALACTIC PINBALL

JAP (Japan)- PINOY (Filipino) "JAPINOY" - a pinoy who is/or working in Japan which most likely embraced the culture or spent allot of his time there that he/she acquired several Japanese traits. Half Japanese Half Filipino. ( You cant see that on WIKI e? ) that's my own definition by the way.

Anyway, he shared some stories of course , he told me that he really admired Japanese video games and other stuff because they always come in quality. So he ended up collecting such back in the days. I assumed that it might have been his comfort zone in times of the homesickness battles he surely had, being a youngster in the foreign land.

That is why im not an Ebay type of purchase person, I love meeting people, i love hearing stories, i really value them because for me , personal stories that come with every retro gaming stuff i collect , is one of the core essence of why i collect them. You cant just get that off on Ebay do you?

lonely boy Part II .... Lonely NO more !!!

having just a virtual boy controller (like THIS one) is like a -

coffee without a cup !
gun without some bullets !
husband without a wife !

its just not playable...

so, i gathered myself and once again exerted efforts just to complete my Virtual boy controller. I called and visited several fellows who might have come ac-crossed this item that i have been longing to have for the lonely boy. and guess what? none of them turned out to have seen one.

virtual boy is one of the consoles that i have been longing to have way back ago. Its unique and its not the typical console with outs to plug on the tv or the stuff that has small tv with it. Its like a weird telescope looking game console but is a catalyst to true 3d graphics video game technology.

who knew? when you don't even exert a single calorie , if its for you , its just for you. Sometime during the school break . A very nice large looking eye gear was sitting somewhere in the north ! we were like old friends that just re union-ed!

Its the perfect score ! a Virtual Boy Head gear unit.

WITH A BONUS! a Mario tennis placed just right the cartridge slot ! Its like 1 stone hitting two birds. Now its not that i need to worry for a head unit but also for a game to play with it!

wait!! theres more!! =D i also scored and almost left out the orinigal stand ! luckily i spent several more minutes lurking around

like a family, they are now complete Not with the original home (the box) but at my house lined up with my other console collections !

a lonely boy . Nintendo Virtual boy Controller

My virtual boy controller has been sitting on my shelves for quite a while since i scored it sometime last august. from that day on,Ive been looking around and all over for its head unit. I was bit happy when i bought it, for i have at least 50% of the whole unit to work. But, time went on and not even a glimpse of the head unit showed up, not even a cartridge.

Sometime , weeks ago, The hell. I already gave up on it. Thinking about the fact that the Nintendo Virtual Boy was only sold for roughly 5 months being it having allot of negative feed backs. So i thought, this stuff is pretty hard to find. I placed the controller here in my ads considering that someone might need it . Someone who has actually the head unit and might have a good use for it.
